Abstract

Microfinance education aims to improve financial decisions, but many programs struggle to turn knowledge into lasting behavior change because learners vary in their skills. They also offer few practice opportunities and often use the same instruction for all learners in low-resource settings. Design guidance is needed to adapt instruction, create feedback loops, and link learning to microfinance workflows. This paper presents a modular framework, an evidence map, and a staged pilot roadmap informed by literature mapping and stakeholder workshops. Deliverables include component definitions, a context adaptation table, measurement templates, and decision criteria aligned to pre and post measures. The manuscript makes no original empirical claims, limits outcomes to individual learner knowledge and application, and serves as a design tool for program teams and microfinance providers.
