Abstract

Mobile theft has become a significant concern as the reliance on mobile devices continues to grow. With the increasing use of smartphones for various personal, professional, and financial activities, ensuring their security has become paramount. This paper presents a comprehensive survey on mobile theft prevention systems, highlighting the latest innovations and approaches designed to safeguard mobile devices against theft and unauthorized access. The survey covers various technologies such as biometric authentication, GPS tracking, device locking mechanisms, remote wipe, and AI-based security measures. Additionally, the paper explores emerging trends, including behavioral analytics, machine learning-based theft detection, and the integration of blockchain for enhanced data protection. By examining the strengths, limitations, and effectiveness of different security strategies, this paper aims to provide a detailed understanding of the current landscape of mobile theft prevention, offering insights into future research directions and potential advancements in securing mobile devices.
