Abstract

The traditional linear "take-make-waste" model accelerates environmental degradation, whereas circular economy (CE) frameworks enable sustainable growth by decoupling economic development from finite resource consumption. Implementing strategies like predictive maintenance, modular design, and digital passports can reduce raw material dependence by up to 40% and lower greenhouse gas emissions, providing a roadmap for scaling industrial symbiosis globally.
