Abstract

In this paper some improved exponential product type estimators have been suggested for estimating finite
population mean using auxiliary information under simple random sampling without replacement when there exists a
negative correlation between the study and auxiliary variable. The performance of the estimators are studied both
theoretically and empirically with mean per unit estimator, product estimator suggested by Robson [2] and Murthy [3]
and exponential product type estimator suggested by Bahl and Tuteja [4]
