Abstract

The performance evaluation of the Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSMs) is done with varying operational conditions such as power, voltage & speed, different rotor and stator diameters, magnetic materials. This analysis is accomplished by the MATLAB-based algorithms.  This investigation evaluates and graphically represents the crucial performance metrics: magnetic flux, cogging torque and torque. Through variable critical considerations and relating magnetic resources like Ferrite, SmCo, Alnico and NdFeB understandings are graphically presented as torque characteristics, magnetic flux behavior and effects of cogging. The outcomes are useful for enhancing PMSM design in industrial usance requiring smooth operation, high efficiency and high performance.
