TriPLAN.ai: An AI-Powered Trip Planner
Keywords:
Abstract
Planning a trip often involves searching through multiple websites, comparing options, and manually organizing information into a workable schedule. This process can be time-consuming and confusing, especially when travelers have limited time or specific preferences. To address this issue, this work presents TriPLAN.ai, an AI-assisted trip planning system that helps users generate structured and personalized travel itineraries based on simple input parameters such as destination, trip duration, budget range, and interests. Instead of offering isolated
recommendations, the system focuses on producing a complete, day-wise travel plan that users can easily understand and follow. The proposed approach emphasizes practical usability and user involvement, where artificial intelligence supports decision-making rather than replacing it. The system was tested using different travel scenarios, and the results indicate a noticeable reduction in manual planning effort while maintaining
itinerary relevance. This study demonstrates how human-centered AI can be applied to everyday planning tasks to improve efficiency and user experience without introducing unnecessary complexity.
